Magnet Freshman Orientation:
Thursday, July 30

North Cobb High School Performing Arts Center (PAC)
Please Make This Event a Priority:
Although North Cobb High School is hosting its schoolwide Warrior Welcome earlier that day, our Magnet Orientation is designed specifically for Magnet students and their families. If you have to choose between the two events, we strongly encourage you to attend the Magnet Orientation.
Your student will receive all of the essential information from Warrior Welcome plus Magnet-specific information, personalized guidance, and the opportunity to connect with the Magnet community before the first day of school.
Parking:
Please park in the Upper Band Parking Lot, then walk down the stairs, cross the street, and enter through the Performing Arts Center (PAC) entrance.
What to Expect:
  • 6:00–6:15 PM: Check in and receive your student’s class schedule.
  • Students will meet their Magnet Ambassadors and head to the cafeteria for activities and schedule walks.
  • Parents will remain in the PAC for a welcome presentation and Q&A with the Magnet team.
  • Students will tour the school, walk their schedules, and meet teachers and fellow Magnet students.
  • Formal presentations conclude around 8:00 PM, with additional Q&A available until 8:15 PM.

  • Meet Magnet teachers, coordinators, and student ambassadors.
  • Receive a printed class schedule.
  • Walk your schedule before the first day of school.
  • Learn about classes, clubs, transportation, lunch, laptops, and other important procedures.
  • Ask questions and connect with other Magnet families.
  • Help your student feel confident and prepared for Day One.
We truly hope every incoming Magnet family can join us. This evening is designed to help students feel comfortable, connected, and excited as they begin high school.
