Dear Future Magnet Warrior,

Welcome—and let me start by saying how excited I am that you’re exploring North Cobb’s School for International Studies! As the Magnet Coordinator and a former AP Research teacher, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand how this program transforms students. Year after year, I watch bright, motivated young people discover their voice, sharpen their leadership, and stretch beyond what they thought possible—both academically and personally.

Our Magnet program isn’t just about taking challenging classes (though you’ll certainly do that!). It’s about building the curiosity and courage to ask big questions, dive deep into global issues, and connect with a world far beyond our walls. You’ll graduate not only prepared for the most competitive universities but also equipped with the confidence, perspective, and resilience to lead boldly in a global age.

One of my favorite things about this program? It’s a family. You’ll find your people here—teachers who challenge and cheer for you, classmates who push and inspire you, and experiences like international travel and field studies that will shape the way you see the world.

I invite you to explore our website, check out our curriculum and travel opportunities, and imagine yourself here—debating, discovering, and growing in ways you never expected. If you have questions or simply want to talk about what makes our program so unique, please don’t hesitate to email me at elizabeth.jamison@cobbk12.org.

I can’t wait to meet you and see the incredible places you’ll go!

Go Far. Explore Deeply. Lead Boldly.
