2025 Senior Capstone Washington DC Adventure

North Cobb Magnet Senior Capstone Trip

Four days. Fifty seniors. Countless memories.

Our Class of 2026 North Cobb Magnet Warriors took on Washington, D.C. with curiosity, energy, and some truly impressive walking stamina! From the moment we touched down—with zero delays and lots of creative cozy airplane outfits—we knew this trip was going to be special.

Day 1 set the tone with a whirlwind monument tour. Students explored the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the World War II Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and so much more. It was the perfect start to a tradition our seniors look forward to every year.

Day 2 took us inside the heart of our government. The next morning began at the Supreme Court, where we learned about the judicial process and browsed the gift shop with purpose. Afterward, we headed to the Washington Monument for breathtaking views of the city.

Later that night we spent an unforgettable evening seeing Hadestown at the National Theatre. The kids absolutely loved it.

Day 3 brought even more history to life. On Friday, we walked through Ford’s Theatre—starting in the museum that builds the story of Lincoln, Booth, and the hours leading up to the assassination.

Seeing the theater itself was humbling, and the Petersen House and Aftermath exhibit gave students a powerful, complete narrative of those events. We rounded out the day with our Capitol tour, a visit to the Library of Congress, and time to explore the Smithsonian museums.

Day 4 wrapped everything up on a high note with a fun morning at the International Spy Museum. Secret missions, spy gadgets, and a whole lot of laughter before heading to the airport. And the best part? We made it home on time!

This trip is one of our most meaningful Magnet traditions—and our seniors were absolute troopers every step of the way. We are so proud of them and grateful for the memories we created together in our nation’s capital.

Until the next adventure, North Cobb Magnet Warriors! 💙🧡
