Welcome, Class of 2029! North Cobb Magnet Orientation Recap

On Thursday evening, July 31, we had the absolute joy of welcoming the Class of 2029 to North Cobb’s School for International Studies at our annual North Cobb Magnet Orientation—and what a night it was!

Even a summer monsoon couldn't dampen the energy and enthusiasm of our incoming Magnet Warriors. Students arrived at 6:00 PM ready to connect, explore, and begin their high school journey. With the support of our incredible Magnet Ambassadors, they jumped right into games, icebreakers, school tours, and small group conversations designed to help them feel at home. The highlight for many was hearing directly from a panel of current students and teachers who shared their experiences, tips, and excitement for what’s ahead.

While students were with their Ambassadors, parents gathered in the Performing Arts Center for an in-depth overview of our program. Coordinators shared what makes the North Cobb Magnet experience so unique—from our international focus to our rigorous liberal arts curriculum and leadership opportunities. It was an inspiring night that set the tone for a meaningful and successful four years ahead.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of the teachers, staff, and especially our Magnet Ambassadors who volunteered their time and energy to make this event a success. Your leadership and commitment to our program shine through in everything you do.

Our Magnet program is strong because of the people in it—and we couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead with the Class of 2029!
