Magnet Freshman Orientation Is Tomorrow! Here’s Why You Won’t Want to Miss It

The countdown is almost over—Magnet Orientation is tomorrow, Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 6:00 PM—and we can’t wait to welcome the Class of 2029 to the North Cobb School for International Studies!

Whether you're feeling excited, nervous, or a little bit of both, Orientation is the perfect way to ease those first-day jitters and step confidently into your Magnet journey. This event is designed just for you—our incoming Magnet freshmen and your families—and will give you a head start on everything you need to feel prepared, connected, and inspired.

Check-in: PAC Lobby (Performing Arts Center)
Parking: Upper Deck off Nowlin Road (right next to the PAC)
Time: Arrive by 6:00 PM

What to Expect at Orientation:

Meet Your People – You'll be paired with your Magnet Ambassadors, meet your core teachers, and connect with fellow freshmen who will be walking this journey with you.

Get Your Printed Schedule & Walk It – Say goodbye to hallway confusion! You’ll walk your full schedule and get a printed copy to take home.

Tour the School – Explore our campus and find your footing before the first bell ever rings.

Get the Scoop – Learn the ins and outs of Magnet life: clubs, classes, lunch routines, bus info, laptops, and more.

Student & Parent Sessions – Parents will remain in the PAC for a Q&A with coordinators, while students rotate with ambassadors in smaller homeroom-style groups.

While the schoolwide Warrior Welcome is open to all new North Cobb students, Magnet Orientation is your personal launchpad into the School for International Studies. It’s where the journey begins—and trust us, you’ll want to be there from the start.
